BillDecoder is an independent tool that reads your electricity bill using AI and tells you — in plain English — whether you're paying too much, what to do about it, and how much you could save.
This is the most important thing to understand about BillDecoder. We don't receive commissions from retailers. We don't get paid if you switch. We don't have partnerships or referral deals. Our only revenue is from Bill Action Plan sales.
This matters because every comparison site, energy broker, and "free" switching service is paid by the retailers they recommend. Their incentive is to move you to the plan that earns them the highest commission, not the plan that saves you the most money.
BillDecoder's independence is structural and permanent. We will never accept commissions.

Your Bill Action Plan is a personalised PDF report built from your actual bill data. It includes: a bill breakdown in plain English, your rate compared to the best available in your area, a prioritised list of savings actions with dollar values, pre-filled call scripts for your specific retailer, a ready-to-send negotiation email, rebate eligibility screening with claim instructions, and solar performance analysis (if applicable).
For business bills, the plan also includes demand charge analysis, power factor assessment, and a printable electrician brief.
The verdict is free. The Bill Action Plan is $29 for residential bills. If you hold a concession card (Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card, DVA Gold Card, or Commonwealth Seniors Health Card), the price is $9. Business Bill Action Plans are $97.
