Life Support Rebate

Covers the additional electricity cost of running life support equipment

Registering for life support protection means your electricity cannot be disconnected. This protection is separate from any rebate amount.

Who is eligible

>A household member uses approved life support equipment at home

>Equipment includes: oxygen concentrator, kidney dialysis machine, ventilator, feeding pump, suction pump, phototherapy equipment

>Requires documentation from a medical practitioner

How to apply

1.Contact your electricity retailer and inform them of your life support equipment

2.Provide documentation from your medical practitioner

3.Your retailer must register your premises as a life support address

Common mistakes

Even if you don't qualify for a rebate amount, registering your life support equipment protects you from disconnection

You must notify BOTH your retailer and your distributor (network operator)

If you change address, you need to re-register at your new premises
