Anyone holding a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card, or DVA Gold Card is eligible. This includes age pensioners, disability support pensioners, carers, and Health Care Card holders on low income.
How much is the Low Income Household Rebate?
The rebate is $285 per year, applied as a daily credit of approximately 78 cents per day on your electricity bill. If you're in an embedded network (apartment building, retirement village, or residential park), you may receive $313.50 instead. Apply through Service NSW.
Can I get the Low Income Household Rebate and Seniors Energy Rebate together?
No. You must choose one or the other. The Low Income Household Rebate ($285) is usually more valuable than the Seniors Energy Rebate (up to $200).
What if I'm in an embedded network?
If you're in an embedded network (apartment building, retirement village, or residential park), you may receive $313.50 instead of $285. Apply through Service NSW rather than your embedded network operator.
